Now Carrot Weather is a unique take on a weather application and then it takes a relatively straightforward function and twists it slightly to give it a definitive edge so at its core the app. It will do its primary job of telling you the weather well, but it also does so in a creatively designed way that makes the experience slightly more visually appealing than most standard weather applications, the icons and colors are clean yet unique and it definitely stands out in terms of its design approach. You can also dive a bit deeper into each weather element to get even more detailed information if that’s what you’re interested in but what’s really great about this app is that it almost feels like its own character jumping into the applications personality settings and you can choose from friendly snarky homicidal and overkill and each option will deliver different responses that somehow either relate to the weather specifically or just generally it’s something you really have to try to experience. So if you’re looking for an alternate weather app then this one might just be something worth trying.
ELEMENTARY ICON PACK
Next I’ve gone ahead and found another great circle icon pack, this one is called the Elementary Icon Pack and if you’re looking to get that uniformity in to your home screen setup then these sorts of compacts do just the trick, so for me a circle icon pack like this one is great primarily because it makes every icon look well and truly uniform within a setup given that they each obviously carry the same shape this and just makes everything look clean. This icon pack is definitely worth trying out is around 2,000 icons available within this pack so excellent coverage and just as you’d imagined, these themed icons are masked and placed inside their own circles so they don’t stand out too much next to the themed ones. As well as this the app has a range of really cool wallpapers that suit the icon pack to a tee so if you’re looking to get creative with customizing your home screen setup and the elementary icon pack may well be worth looking into.
So I’m a big fan of traveling and no doubt a lot of us are but I just find that I never have time to properly document my travels even when I want to. And if you’re in a similar boat then you’ll no doubt enjoy trying Ploarsteps. So this app is designed to just sit in your pocket and track the places you visit while traveling documenting it into your own personal travel journal. Aside from initially setting up the trip with dates and a short description the app does the rest of the work for you, which means you can just focus on enjoying your holidays. Not only can you easily track your own travels but you can also use this app to share your journey with friends or family or follow your own friends and families trips as they travel, which means you or they can see each of the different locations you visited and both you and your followers can view a summary of your travels in a generated photo album. Yep, it also promises minimal battery drain which is great for travels.
After that is Voi, a puzzle game that brings a fresh new perspective to tangram games for those who love a good brain bender. So the game itself is outrageously simple in its design and in its gameplay.
In that, you’re presented at the start of each level with a unique shape object which you then have to recreate using the shapes below. Like most games, it starts off relatively simple but then, as the game progresses naturally so does the difficulty. Aside from the minimal graphics, the music and sound effects are amazingly relaxing they really draw you in. So if you’re looking to kill some time this game is worth downloading and giving a go.
Being phone safe whilst driving is something everyone can all probably get on board with and Driving Detective is an application designed to take some of that responsibility out of our own hands. This app uses your device’s sensors to detect when you’re driving and upon doing so, it will simply toggle the Do Not Disturb mode on your device. That’s really all there is to it this, means when you’re driving you won’t be alerted of any notifications which means you hopefully won’t be tempted to look at your phone’s display. The only settings that can be tweaked within the app are which mode of do-not-disturb will be activated but if you need a friendly nudge to keep your hands off your phone whilst driving then this app is definitely worth having.
