Shortcut keys to increase or decrease the font size in MS word

We all know that font size can be increased or decreased through ‘font-size’ option from home ribbon’s font panel or through font dialog box.

In this blog, I am writing two shortcut keys to increase or decrease ‘font size’ in MS word. Here are the steps and shortcuts keys:

Select the targeted text first and then press CTRL + > to increase the font size or CTRL + < to decrease the font size.

Note: To get the < or > characters, you will have to press SHIFT key too, if you will not press the SHIFT key, the shortcut keys will be considered as CTRL+ , (comma) or CTRL+ . (Dot). Let’s make it more clear press CTRL + SHIFT + > or CTRL + SHIFT + <

You can also use the following shortcut keys to increase or decrease font size in MS Word

To Increase font size: CTRL+ ] (closing square bracket with CTRL key)

To Decrease font size: CTRL+ [ (Opening square bracket with CTRL key)

Note: Here no need to press the SHIFT key.
